We collect certain public and nonpublic information necessary for the pricing, underwriting and servicing of the insurance products you have applied for or that are already in force with Great Lakes Agribusiness Insurance Company.
We collect information from the following sources:  

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms (such as name, address and social security number); 
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others (such as products purchased and policy coverage); 
  • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency (such as motor vehicle reports and loss information); and 
  • Information from other sources (such as vehicle title information from the Department of Motor Vehicles). 

Sharing Information
We obtain information from you in connection with providing you insurance products and services. We use the information to perform underwriting, administer your insurance products, and manage claims. We may share your information with our vendors and affiliates as needed to provide those services. We may disclose the information we collect with our affiliated companies as permitted by law, in order to offer you products or services that we believe may be of interest to you. We will obtain your permission when required by law.  

Information We Disclose Outside Great Lakes Agribusiness Insurance Company
We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except with your consent, for external processing, or as permitted or required by law. For example, we may disclose information to consumer reporting agencies, to prevent misrepresentation or fraud, to trusted businesses or persons to process your information based on our instructions and in compliance with our privacy policies and standards, or in response to a subpoena or other legal requirement.  
We may also provide information including coverage and premium information to mortgage companies or other persons who have a legal or beneficial interest relating to your policy.

How We Protect Your Information
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to persons who need to know that information so we may provide our products or services to you. We maintain physical, procedural, and electronic safeguards that comply with government regulations and established security standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
